Our learning this half term is based on our text driver Stick Man by Julia Donaldson. Our learning objective for our first unit this term has been to produce a video diary. We have undertaken various focus activities on our journey towards making our video diaries.
First we read Stick Man up to the page where he goes to sleep in the snow. Then we investigated Stick Man’s family tree. We applied our new knowledge and produced our own family trees. Here are two, one from the AM and PM cohorts respectively.
We have watched video blogs from the BBC website on the IWB. Here are the links to the ones we have watched to get ideas for making our own video diaries about our families.

Finally, we had a go at making our own video diaries with some help, as some of us were a little tongue tied once the camera began to roll!
Some of our diaries will appear on the blog in the near future. To ensure compliance with data protection, they will only be accessible by use of a password which will be issued to the parent(s) of that child.
What else have we got up to this term…?
Well, take a look at these.
What a busy time we’ve had and now we’re getting ready for Christmas. Watch this space……
